The company is the largest purchaser of catalytic converters in Australia and South Korea. We have acquired a great deal of expertise in the recycling industry and have earned a solid reputation for our professionalism, honesty and transparency. We have continued to invest significantly in the business providing advanced technology that translates to speed to value for our customers.
This is possible with modern laboratory resources and state-of-the-art processing custom developed machines and software – the only such facility in the world – that allows us to accurately and speedily evaluate platinum group metals content. Currently, we have a vacancy for a full-time role for a Procurement Manager in Victoria. Job Responsibilities:
Preparing and implementing plans for procurement in advance to fulfil the requirement of company's demand.
Implementing of storage and distribution strategy from the point of purchasing from customer till delivery to the head office.
Recording of the inventory of the purchase, storage and delivery transactions.
Collaborating with internal teams, such as finance and operations, to address and resolve issues and concerns related to procurement.
Engaging in regular communication with suppliers and scheduling meetings to collaboratively address supply challenges.
Researching and identifying competitors' strategies regarding procurement and analysing the market.
Negotiating price with suppliers in best interest of the company without compromising the quality.
Skills
Qualifications or bachelor's or master's degree in disciplines such as business administration and procurement.
1 year experience in procurement and purchasing role in recycling business.
Extensive knowledge of the type of catalytic converters and able to make deal with minimum consultation with the company.
Able to negotiate with the customer to make deals at minimum costs and customer satisfaction to maintain a healthy long-term relationship.
Experience with price analysis, source selection and justification.
Demonstrate dedication to customer service, adherence to compliance standards, and the creation of value.
What we offer:
Salary package - $95,000 - $99,000 plus super
Permanent full-time position
Monday-Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
Location: Victoria
Other requirements
Preference given to skilled person with thorough knowledge of catalytic converters.
Good communication skills and customer relations to make deals.
