**Infrastructure People are partnering with an Australian owned company that specialise in quarry operations, resource recycling and transport and logistics with operations running across NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD.**
This company, that has been established for over 55 years, is going through a phase of expansion and are currently in the market for a Regional General Manager to join the business based in Bulla, Victoria.

**Responsibilities of this role may include**:
- Oversee operational activities in the area of quarrying and sand products and reprocessing of materials. [i.e. concrete, bricks and soil]
- Oversee operational activities in the area of landfilling.
- Oversee all site project works, site improvements and capital expenditure.
- Work closely with the Sales Managers [Quarry & Waste] and the sales & marketing division for their requirement of saleable products.
- Ensure operations are carried out in compliance with the Council consents & approvals, EPA licence conditions and the requirements of the Department of Resources and WorkSafe Victoria.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets; work within the annual budgets, keeping control of costs to ensure sites remains profitable.
- Manage the profit and loss statement, monitoring revenue streams, production costs, and overhead expenses; analysing financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with the senior management ensuring that their reporting & decision-making requirements are met on an ongoing basis.
**What you need to be successful in the role**:
- Formal qualifications relating to the quarry, mining, waste or contaminated lands industries;
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the extractive & waste industry including mining, resource recovery, recycling, composting, landfilling, crushing/screening and development & manufacture of quality products;
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team;
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
- Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and profit and loss management.
