Opportunity
As part of our diverse team based in Adelaide, you will help make a positive impact on someone's life every day. An Eligibility Officer plays a key role in the initial stages of a claim lodgement, shaping the claims experience for both workers and employers as they determine whether to accept or reject a claim. This permanent, full‐time position is based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week once fully trained.
Responsibilities
* Manage inbound and outbound calls and direct customer queries while requesting information to assist in the liability assessment process.
* Proactively manage claim determinations for complex claims, ensuring information is actioned accurately and consistently.
* Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and support completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services for return‐to‐work and injury recovery.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures.
Qualifications
* Strong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to analyse information and make decisions in line with the Return to Work Act.
* High attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to problem‐solve and make informed decisions.
* Tertiary studies in business, law or allied health are advantageous.
* Previous experience in a similar role within workers' compensation or insurance, or a legal environment, would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
