The RoleAdbri Cement is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Electrician / Instrument Technician to join our Electrical Maintenance Team at our Birkenhead site. In this day work role, you will be responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance across fixed plant equipment, supporting planned and preventative maintenance activities and contributing to ongoing site improvement initiatives.This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic heavy industrial environment, be part of a supportive team, and contribute to Adbri’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical repairs and maintenance on a range of fixed plant equipment.Conduct planned, predictive, and preventative maintenance tasks to optimise plant performance.Provide leadership and commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.Carry out administrative tasks within the ERP system (SAP or similar).Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site.What You Will Need to SucceedCertificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (essential).Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control or equivalent (desirable).Proven high-voltage switching experience.EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket.Experience working in heavy industry or mining environments (essential).PLC diagnostic experience (essential); PLC programming experience (desirable).Familiarity with SCADA systems (CITECT or equivalent desirable).Strong computer literacy, with experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.A confident, self-motivated, energetic individualA team player with a high degree of trade flexibilityAvailable for call-out and shutdown overtime as well as relief shift dutiesOur businessAdbri Cement was formally known as Adelaide Brighton Cement.
