We are currently seeking a Field Operations Specialist to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This position is a travelling role, with a Fly In, Fly Out schedule rotation. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, operating and supporting field-deployable electronic equipment and software.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal teams, and demonstrate interest in digital technologies and innovations. They will also have the ability to work on a varied roster, troubleshoot technical issues and escalate moderate complexity issues to senior staff. Travel regularly, including on short notice, is an essential requirement of this role. Additional responsibilities include performing hands-on troubleshooting, service and repairs, contributing to the creation of SWPs and training documentation, providing material support to Product Development teams through testing and reporting activities, and operational rollout. Training client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field deployable analytical technologies is also a key component of this role.
Minimum qualifications include: Authorization to work in Australia, field experience working on a drill rig; mining or exploration core facility (highly desirable), understanding of handling and logging core samples (desirable), excellent communication skills – oral and written, attention to detail and strong initiative, proficiency in MS Office suite, current drivers' license, basic electrical and mechanical skills (desirable), 4WD and Senior First Aid (desirable).
This role is a key technical resource in rolling out, running and supporting field-deployable XRF-analysis, hyperspectral and core photography systems. Platforms include Veracio's Truscan and Minalyzer scanner units and support for supporting software. Job Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting and fault finding of technical and practical use issues tied to proprietary analytical equipment

3. Conducting field and workshop scanning activities
4. Logistical support for field scanning operations
5. Escalating and documenting incidents in line with company Issue Management System
6. Escalating issue of moderate complexity to senior staff
