Position Summary
Provides overall contract administration and technical expertise for all Building Systems as part of a construction project. Accountable for safety, budget, quality, schedule, and profitability performance within scope of responsibility. Oversees project personnel operations and maintains excellent stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Initiation & Planning: Participates in estimates, works with subcontractors to secure new work, and assists with the administration of subcontracts.
* Project Execution and Control: Develops the M&E aspects of the Construction Management Plan, coordinates temporary power, heating, and water systems, and ensures compliance with design, budget, quality, safety, and schedule. Liaises with clients, conducts quality management plan implementation, reviews shop drawings and specifications, manages M&E change orders, holds meetings, and tracks progress claims. Supports the Project Manager and superintendent on overall project performance and escalates issues as needed.
* Project Closeout: Participates in overall project closeout activities, including document archival, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work. Coordinates systems training, commissioning plan development, and closeout execution.
* General: Stays current with industry practices, seeks new, innovative construction methods, understands labor relations, and mentors Project Coordinators.
* Safety: Supports H&S team to ensure safety documentation meets Ministry of Labour and Multiplex requirements, creates and influences safety culture, participates in safety committees, and conducts job site inspections.
* Procurement & Finance: Assists with the subcontractor procurement process.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
* 3 years of Building Systems Project Management experience in the construction industry.
* 5–8 years of progressive construction experience, including experience with a local General Contractor.
* Working knowledge of contract administration; estimating or related experience is an asset.
Required Skills
* Working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical construction techniques & sequences.
* Experience with project management and/or scheduling software (Procore).
* Proven ability to handle a fast‐paced work environment and collaborate cross‐functionally.
* Adaptability to change, flexibility in meeting competing deadlines, and strong organizational, prioritization and follow‐up skills.
* Effective oral and written communication skills; personable and friendly.
* Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point; strong attention to accuracy and detail.

Salary
$105,000 to $122,000 CAD per year. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications.
