About the role:
Working as a Residential Support Worker at our service in Norlane, you will empower the people we support to live independently and participate in the community. Providing hands on support while ensuring a safe, inclusive and empowering environment, you will become an integral part of their care team. We currently have two part time positions available.
Duties:
* Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.
* Supporting community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.
* Encouraging independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.
* Building meaningful relationships to provide person-centred support.
* Maintaining accurate and thorough records of activities, progress and incidents.
Qualifications:
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
* Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to accurately record case notes.
* Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
* A passion for supporting people to live their best lives.
* Current CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check, NDIS Check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).
* Victorian drivers licence.
Schedule:
Line 1 — 35 hours
Week 1: Thurs: 9am‐1pm, Fri: 3pm‐8pm, Mon: 9am‐3pm, Wed: 9am‐3pm
Week 2: Fri: 3pm‐10pm & sleepover, Sat: 6am‐9am, Wed: 9am‐1pm
Line 2 — 41 hours
Week 1: Mon: 7am‐9am and 9am‐1pm, Wed: 7am‐9am and 9am‐1pm
Week 2: Thurs: 9am‐1pm, Sat: 3pm‐10pm & sleepover, Sun: 6am‐9am, Tues: 3pm‐10pm & sleepover, Wed: 6am‐9am and 3pm‐8pm
