The Emergency Recovery Support Worker will provide Emergency Response case support and case management for people who have been impacted by emergency events such as fire, flood etc. across the Moira, Mitchell, Murrindindi, Mansfield and Strathbogie Shires. The Emergency Recovery Support Worker will support people with complex recovery needs as a result of being impacted by a major emergency in Victoria.
Key Selection Criteria
* Diploma or higher qualification in relevant discipline such as AOD, Social Work or Community Services.
* Demonstrated experience in case work/case management with community services, emergency response, family services, homelessness, mental health, AOD or related fields.
* Strong service coordination skills including warm referral, advocacy, and interagency collaboration.
* Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to engage people in distress and respond sensitively.
* Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practice and the impacts of disaster/emergency events.
* Strong administration capability including client documentation, care plans, and data entry.
* Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team in changing environments.
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to impacted sites.

* Experience supporting people impacted by family violence, housing instability, financial hardship, or complex psychosocial needs.
* Knowledge of Victorian recovery arrangements and local service systems.
* Experience delivering outreach services in community settings.
