Building Surveyor
Commencing salary of $91,****** gross per annum with the opportunity to progress to $109,****** + superannuation (12%).
Annual Accreditation Allowance
* Building Surveyor – unrestricted (A1 level accreditation) = $6,000
* Building Surveyor – restricted (all classes of building) (A2 level accreditation) = $4,000
* Building Surveyor – restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) (A3 level accreditation) = $2,000

Responsibilities
* Delivering high quality building assessment, certification and compliance services across the Local Government Area.
* Undertaking assessments and inspections relating to Development Applications (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), Complying Development Certificates (CDC), Occupation Certificates, building information certificates, plumbing and drainage works, swimming pool compliance applications.
* Stakeholder engagement, compliance and enforcement activities.
* Mentoring junior team members.
* Providing professional advice to customers, builders, developers and consultants.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
* Accreditation, or eligibility for accreditation, as a Building Surveyor (minimum Class 1 & 10), with higher levels of accreditation considered highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in building assessment and certification.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* A customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach.
* A Class C Driver Licence and White Card.
Cadet Building Surveyor
Commencing salary of $80,****** gross per annum with the opportunity to progress to $96,****** + superannuation (12%).
Potential for an additional annual Accreditation Allowance upon completion of cadetship and attainment of Building Surveyor—restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) accreditation (A3 Accreditation) = $2,000.

Key Responsibilities
* Hands‐on experience and mentoring while undertaking supervised assessments and inspections relating to a range of development and certification activities.
* Exposure to building legislation and compliance, development assessment processes, site inspections, customer and stakeholder engagement, building certification practices.
Candidate Profile
* Is enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in tertiary studies relevant to Building Surveying.
* Holds, or is eligible to obtain, Building Inspector Accreditation (A4).
* Is committed to professional growth and ongoing learning.
* Demonstrates solid communication and teamwork skills.
* Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Holds a Class C Driver Licence and White Card.
