The role is focused on assessing and assuring proposed Crown land sales in accordance with the Crown Land Management Act 2016. You will lead and deliver land sale and divestment projects within defined timeframes, preparing comprehensive assessments for delegated decision-makers under the Act.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in land management, property divestment, or government asset disposal, with strong analytical and research skills to interpret legislation and policy. Excellent stakeholder engagement and project coordination capabilities are also essential, along with commercial acumen and understanding of valuation, planning, and legal frameworks.

You will be working as part of a mission-driven team shaping land use across NSW, contributing to the responsible divestment of land from the Crown Estate, enabling sustainable development, community benefit, and effective land stewardship. As a Project Officer, you will be exposed to complex land status, statutory divestment, and land sales, providing expert advice to stakeholders including government agencies, local councils, industry, and community groups.

Key responsibilities include:

* Lead and deliver land sale and divestment projects within defined timeframes;

* Prepare comprehensive assessments for delegated decision-makers under the Act;

* Coordinate acquisition, sale, and vesting initiatives across diverse portfolios;

* Provide expert advice on complex land status, statutory divestment, and land sales;
">
* Manage internal and external service providers across planning, valuation, legal, and marketing functions;
">
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders;
">
* Maintain accurate databases, manage project finances, and finalise Crown land accounts;
">
* Represent the department in forums, committees, and cross-functional teams.

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $113,574 to $125,720 + superannuation.
