As part of WSP in Australia's continued national growth, we are enhancing our Geo-Environmental Engineering team and are looking for an experienced Regional Executive to lead our Perth office. This is a significant leadership opportunity where you will help define the strategic direction of our business, champion sustainable growth, and uphold the highest standards of technical excellence.
In this role, you will be instrumental in cultivating and strengthening client partnerships, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects across civil infrastructure, waste, water infrastructure, and mining sectors. As Regional Executive, you will have the platform to drive initiatives that create meaningful outcomes for both communities and the environment. You'll lead a talented technical team, deepen relationships with key clients, and play a leading role in shaping the future of our business and the industry as a whole.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and direction to the Western Australian Geo-Environmental team, focusing on sustainable growth, optimising performance, and achieving key financial and operational objectives.
* Project Delivery: Lead and deliver complex projects in waste management (including landfill design, engineered containment systems, and resource recovery), water infrastructure (such as dam engineering and wastewater management), mining (including tailings management and liner systems), and ground engineering (slope stabilisation and rehabilitation).
* Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high‐quality project delivery and supporting business development initiatives.
* Technical Excellence: Oversee quality and risk management, ensuring technical excellence in all aspects of geo‐environmental engineering.
* Team Development: Foster a high‐performing, collaborative team culture by mentoring, developing, and hiring top talent to strengthen capability.
* Business Strategy: Work closely with leadership to implement business strategy, ensuring alignment across teams and business units.
* Safety & Wellbeing: Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and wellbeing, living WSP's values in all aspects of work.
* Industry Leadership: Represent WSP in professional societies and conferences, contributing to the advancement of the geo‐environmental sector.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, with significant leadership experience in the geo‐environmental sector.
* Proven track record in managing large‐scale, complex projects and delivering cost‐effective, high‐quality outcomes.
* Waste Management expertise, including landfill design, geosynthetics, water infrastructure, and risk management.
* Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Recognised as a leader in the industry, with active participation in professional societies or conferences.
* A highly motivated, innovative mindset with a commitment to sustainability and technical excellence.
