**Job Title:** Finance and Payroll Specialist
**Overview:** We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented finance and payroll specialist to join our finance team. This is a permanent full-time position responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll services, accounts payable, and core financial operations.
**Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing, benefits administration, and reporting.
* Process and manage accounts payable, including invoice coding and reconciliation.
* Prepare and enter journals, assist with month-end reporting and audits.
* Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, and industrial instruments.
* Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, auditors, and government departments.
* Contribute to the improvement of financial and payroll systems and internal controls.
**Requirements:
**To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related field.
* At least 2 years' experience in a finance role with payroll and AP responsibilities.
* Strong working knowledge of payroll and finance systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) and Working with Vulnerable People Card (or willingness to obtain).
**Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* Progression towards or completion of CA or CPA.
* Experience interpreting industrial instruments, including awards and enterprise agreements.
