About the Role
This is a hands‐on, broad‐ranging people role sitting within our senior executive group. You'll own the full HR and WHS function across two well‐established businesses — Richmond Dairies and Rizzi Cold Storage — shaping policy, driving compliance, and making sure our people are supported from day one through every stage of their employment.
You'll be the go-to expert for everything from recruitment and onboarding through to enterprise bargaining, injury management, and workplace investigations. If you thrive when no two days look the same and you want genuine scope to make an impact, this role delivers.
What You'll Do
Policy & Compliance
* Develop, implement, and keep current all HR and WHS policies and procedures
* Track legislative changes and ensure the business stays ahead of its obligations
Employee Relations & Performance
* Investigate workplace disputes, grievances, and incidents with fairness and rigour
* Support disciplinary processes, document proceedings, and help build effective performance plans
* Act as company representative in enterprise bargaining and Fair Work Commission matters
* Advise both management and employees on enterprise agreement interpretation
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Manage end‐to‐end recruitment: interviews, contracts, pre‐employment checks, induction, and training
Wellbeing & Injury Management
* Design and deliver employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
* Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurers and rehabilitation providers
* Develop and oversee Return to Work Plans for injured employees
Administration
* Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and compliance documentation
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Business (Human Resources major) or equivalent
* Solid, demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role
* Strong working knowledge of employment law, industrial relations, and WHS requirements
* Confident handling workplace investigations, negotiations, and sensitive employee matters
* Sharp attention to detail and comfort managing competing priorities in a fast‐moving environment
* Permanent residency and full working rights in Australia
* Willingness to complete a pre‐employment medical assessment
