Operations director for childcare services

This exciting opportunity is seeking an experienced Area Manager who can lead and support the management of childcare centres across Brisbane.


About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with Centre Directors to implement systems and operational processes for effective day-to-day management. They will also provide mentoring and guidance to centre leaders and staff to promote a high level of understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and delivery of engaging programs for children.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing support to Centre Directors to ensure quality educational programs and service provision.
* Liaising with Centre Directors in person, over the phone, and via Teams to build and maintain open and supportive communication.
* Maintaining and developing positive relationships with external agencies.
* Managing each centre's budget and expenditure within budget guidelines.
* Mentoring managers and staff to achieve their professional goals and high levels of performance.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent as approved by ACECQA.
* Experience as an Area Manager managing multiple childcare services at the one time.
* Strong leadership, people, and time management skills.
* High level of written and verbal communication skills.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Current blue card, first aid certification, asthma, and anaphylaxis training.
* A high level of knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
* Ability to influence and mentor a large, geographically dispersed team.
* The ability to work independently and develop positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
