We're seeking an experienced Irrigation Cropping Manager to lead our irrigation cropping operations across our large-scale aggregation in Central Queensland.
This role involves managing production programs, optimising irrigation systems, and developing a high-performing team to deliver strong farming outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day irrigation cropping operations to achieve high-performing, innovative farming results.
* Manage and optimise irrigation systems for efficiency and compliance.
* Lead, train and develop the cropping team to achieve high performance and safety standards.
* Work with managers and agronomists to plan budgets, cropping schedules and infrastructure projects.
* Drive continuous improvement and adopt new technologies to enhance productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in managing large-scale irrigated cropping operations (cotton experience is beneficial).
* Agricultural knowledge and hands-on skills in the field.
* Natural leadership abilities to coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Proficiency in using farm technology systems, including AgWorld, tractor GPS and moisture monitoring probes.
* Literacy, numeracy and record-keeping skills.
