Role Overview
A generalist in‐house legal professional within Glencore's Australian Coal operations, partnering with mining operations, project and management teams, and external advisors to address a broad range of legal matters across NSW and Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Negotiate, draft, review and manage a variety of commercial contracts.
* Provide high‐quality general corporate and commercial legal advice on environmental, health and safety, property and mining law.
* Partner with site mining operations, project and management teams, and external legal advisors.
* Advise senior management and prioritize competing demands.
Qualifications
* Australian legal practising certificate.
* Approximately 2‐4 years PQE experience in a top‐tier law firm or corporate environment.
* Proven technical and analytical skills, effective communication and negotiation skills, confidence to deal with senior management, and ability to work independently.
* Willingness to travel to mine sites in NSW and Queensland from time to time.
