Project Overview
Ar Rjum Project is a green-field gold development in the Central Arabian Gold Region. It consists of three open pit mines, a processing plant, tailings facilities, and associated infrastructure.
Job Summary
This full-time role (possible telework) involves leading mechanical design, development, and review, coordinating with clients and disciplines, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Major Responsibilities
Plan and conduct civil/structural & infrastructure design and field investigations for large projects.
Lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil/structural & infrastructure components using Bechtel procedures and standards.
Review and approve design documents, drawings, specifications, change orders, and bid summaries.
Coordinate and manage external consulting engagements.
Generate engineering deliverables such as calculations, specifications, and requisitions.
Develop conceptual designs for specialized or unique projects.
Interview client personnel to determine needs and produce scope and cost estimates.
Prepare or oversee discipline estimates and work plans, supporting implementation and performance reporting.
Interpret regulations, codes, and standards and provide technical guidance.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and ***** years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Minerals handling plant design experience, especially slurry pumping, conveyor, chute, tank sizing, and selection calculations.
Civil and non-process infrastructure engineering design and construction support.
Bid evaluation, equipment datasheets, and material requisition skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and common engineering software.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Working Rights
