Team Leader - Challenging Behaviours & behaviour Support
Are you a strong and experienced leader who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities?
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Team Leader to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with proven leadership experience who can confidently lead, mentor, and inspire a team while supporting participants with complex needs, challenging behaviours, and behaviour support plans.
Experience in Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices is highly regarded.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support services that empower participants to achieve their goals, increase independence, and actively engage in their communities.
You will combine strong operational and leadership capabilities with a hands‐on approach to supporting both participants and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support a team of Disability Support Workers
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing staff development
* Support participants with complex behaviours and implement behaviour support strategies
* Ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with participant goals and NDIS standards
* Manage administrative and operational responsibilities related to client services
* Build positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and stakeholders
* Promote community participation, independence, and person-centred outcomes
* Work collaboratively with allied health professionals and support networks
* Balance leadership responsibilities with direct support work.
About You
* Proven leadership experience in disability, community services, or a related sector
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire a team
* Experience supporting participants with challenging behaviours and complex support needs
* Knowledge and experience in Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices
* A strong understanding of the NDIS and person-centred approaches
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
* A compassionate, professional, and solutions-focused approach
* Flexibility to adapt to participant and operational needs
* Current WA Driver's Licence
* Reliable vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance
* Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
* Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
* Successful applicants will be required to complete online assessments and a pre-employment medical.
