Job Description
You’ll lead cross-team efforts to ensure our own-brand products are safe, high-quality, and compliant. You’ll manage supplier onboarding with a focus on modern slavery and ethical sourcing, build risk-based safety frameworks, run compliance audits, and educate stakeholders on product quality. You’ll also support and guide our Asia-based QA team—especially in high-risk categories to strengthen safety controls.
A Peek Into Your Petstock Day
- To Partner with our Brand, sourcing, design, category, sustainability and group quality team to ensure the delivery of safe, quality and compliant own brand products.
- Work with the group responsible sourcing team to onboard & ensure our suppliers adhere to our modern slavery & responsible sourcing policy
- Implementation of risk-based frameworks for product safety and quality which support our own brand growth strategy.
- Conduct product audits across the current range to ensure the adherence of group & legal requirements
- Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to support their understanding of or product safety, quality, and compliance requirements, and how these requirements help us to meet our obligations under Australian consumer law
- To provide strong subject matter expertise to the group Asia based QA team on high-risk product categories and the key risk and controls for product safety and regulatory requirements
Do you have the below experience and looking to take the next step in your career?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce or related field
- Proven experience working product safety & responsible managing high-risk products & Suppliers
- Experience partnering with an Asia based team to deliver safe, legal, quality & compliant products
- A solid understanding of the Australian Consumer Law
- To speak mandarin is desired, but not essential
- Experience working in a Stage Gate environment
