Job Title: Cyber Security Architect
About the Role
This is a strategic role that involves designing secure architectures, guiding the adoption of security frameworks and ensuring the resilience of solutions against evolving threats.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding our technology landscape. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise security strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, future-proof solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and oversee secure architecture solutions aligned with organisational needs and industry best practices.
* Lead security reviews and develop 'Secure by Design' principles for projects and technology initiatives.
* Drive adoption and integration of Microsoft 365 security technologies, including Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
* Conduct threat modelling, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Stay ahead of emerging technologies and cyber threats to continuously enhance security architecture capability.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security requirements into actionable designs and technical artefacts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience (4+ years in a large organisation).
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security architecture and cloud security technologies.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
* Experience with IAM/PAM/IGA architecture.
* Proven experience in security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS, APRA CPS234, CPS230, ISO, PCI DSS) and embedding controls into enterprise environments.
* Proficiency in threat modelling, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
* Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
* Certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, Azure/AWS Security Specialty or equivalent (desirable).
