Position Summary

Bega / Moruya / Goulburn. Employment Type: Part Time / Full Time. Location: negotiable – Bega / Moruya / Goulburn. Position Classification: Senior Medical Practitioner. Remuneration: $197,583 – $243,822 Per Annum. Hours Per Week: 40. Requisition ID: REQ652451. Applications Close: Sunday 14 June 2026.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide high quality Clinical Haematology services across Southern NSW LHD and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities in line with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Selection Criteria
* Current Registration with the Australasian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Specialist in Clinical Haematology.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Clinical Haematology.
* Demonstrated contemporary clinical knowledge and technical expertise in Clinical Haematology with the ability to provide comprehensive, high‐quality, compassionate services and patient care.
* Evidence of continuing medical education and self‐monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements, and recent experience working collaboratively in a specialist multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to work with local clinical teams to lead, support and improve the delivery of Haematology services.
* Demonstrated ability to actively improve service delivery, initiating change and consulting with those affected, including managing potential conflicts.
* Demonstrated commitment to leading a program of Haematology education and training for local multidisciplinary clinicians and to clinical research, including experience in clinical trials.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the willingness to drive/travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

This is a Category 'A' position. All new employees must read and comply with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. OASV requirements include proof of vaccination against influenza and are compulsory for NSW staff entering any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or working in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
