About the Role:
As a Contracts Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, and establish contracts for the procurement of goods, works, and services, including capital works projects. This 6-month prospect offers a chance to make a real impact.
Provide contract planning advice for business cases.
Ensure business cases meet procurement planning needs.
End to end tender management.
Resolve commercial and contractual issues.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and contractors on contractual matters.
Develop negotiation strategies for contracts.
Provide a comprehensive procurement service for capital works projects.
Utilise e-Procurement/SRM for contract management.
Prepare and publish bid documentation.
Assist vendors in submitting bids.
Assist "end users" with e-Procurement inquiries.
Assess bids and create contracts in SRM.
Comply with relevant legislation, corporate policy, and ethical standards.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
Degree or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field eg: Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Supply Chain.
Min 7 years' experience in procurement and contracting.
Extensive experience in contract development and management.
Knowledge of contract law.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Robust attention to detail and ability to negotiate, influence and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
