About the Role
* Deliver one-on-one mentoring sessions offering guidance on parenting styles, child development, and community connections.
* Facilitate group discussions and activities promoting positive parenting practices and community engagement.
* Link families with relevant community services.
* Support families in identifying their personal goals and aspirations.
* Assist in planning and executing program events and activities.
* Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, group activities, and resource referrals.
Essential Requirements
* Possess or be working towards a Certificate III or IV level of accreditation in Community Services, Youth Work, or equivalent work experience/qualification.
* Hold a current driver's licence and have the ability to travel for work.
* Display excellent interpersonal skills to build confidence and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* Lived experience in the field of parenting or child development is highly desirable.
* Demonstrate knowledge of the local labour market, family support groups, and local stakeholders to support participant goals.
* Exhibit strong administrative and computer skills.
* Satisfy a pre-employment check including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
