This is a role working within the stakeholder management team responsible for providing high-level communication advisory services and support to various stakeholders in the North Coast Region.
Job Description
The successful candidate will develop and implement communication strategies and activities to support infrastructure projects in the NCR. This role will provide high-level communication services and advice to senior leadership, project management, technical, and professional staff on community engagement, stakeholder relationships, issues, and media management.
* Provide communication advice and support in the areas of communication strategy and risk assessment, stakeholder and community engagement, and media and issues management related to infrastructure projects.
* Develop and maintain ongoing key strategic relationships and networks with other government agencies, project partners, contractors, community and interest groups, and internal and external clients.
* Plan, develop, implement, and manage key communication activities and events as required.
* Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.
Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector.
* Proficiency in building and sustaining relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
* Aptitude for adjusting to evolving environments and changing expectations.
* Demonstrated capability in community engagement, executive correspondence, public relations, and media.
* While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing would be highly desirable.
* International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in Engagement certification, or willingness to obtain certification independently, will also be considered favourably.
