About the role
We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to cover our Australia and New Zealand commercial organisation during a 12‐month fixed‐term contract. This is a senior, influential role partnering closely with Commercial Excellence, HR, and regional and global EHS teams to manage risk in a complex, field‐based environment.
Responsibilities
Your role will be varied and will include:
* Leading EHS risk management across ANZ, with a focus on driver safety, site safety and mental health
* Managing workers' compensation, injury management and return‐to‐work in partnership with insurers, regulators and payroll
* Acting as ANZ point of contact for global health and wellbeing programmes and initiatives
* Maintaining EHS and wellbeing policies, including psychosocial risk and mental health compliance
Qualifications
We are looking for a commercially‐minded EHS professional who understands how to influence rather than direct, and who thrives in a national, matrixed organisation. You will have a strong background in commercial or corporate EHS rather than heavy manufacturing.
* 6+ years' experience in a commercial EHS, injury management or wellbeing role
* Strong workers' compensation and return‐to‐work experience across multiple jurisdictions
* Confidence partnering with senior leaders and navigating regional and global EHS frameworks
* A practical, positive approach to mental health, wellbeing and psychosocial risk
Benefits
By joining GSK, you'll enjoy:
* A versatile and life‐friendly working approach, allowing you to do your best work
* Being in a diverse organisation that reflects the communities that we work within
* Development and progression at a global scale, with international opportunities
* 5 Feel Good Days and 1 volunteer day (on top of your annual leave)
* Option to purchase up to 4 weeks' additional leave per year
* Access to discounted health insurance
We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and providing equal opportunities for all applicants.
