The Team
The Workforce Strategy and Planning Unit (WSPU) leads statewide health workforce strategy, policy and planning to build a sustainable, skilled, and future‐ready workforce for Tasmania. The Medical Workforce Policy and Strategy Unit (MWPSU) is a functional stream of the WSPU that provides dedicated leadership in medical workforce policy, strategy, education and training coordination, and medical staffing frameworks.
The Role
This position supports the Medical Workforce Policy and Strategy Unit by delivering high‐quality policy and administrative outputs through research, analysis, drafting and complex coordination. It prepares policy briefs, advice and supporting documentation, coordinates executive and committee processes, manages communications and documentation workflows, and engages stakeholders in circulations of sensitive policy materials.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting policy, project and executive functions in complex environments, including research, drafting and coordinating multiple priorities to meet agreed timeframes.
* Proven capability in coordinating committees and governance processes, including agendas, minutes, action tracking and stakeholder input management.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear policy materials and engage professionally and confidentially with diverse stakeholders.

Appointment Details
Permanent full‐time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Salary
$85,196 to $97,915 per annum, plus 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range is in accordance with Agreement Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
