What You'll Be Doing
The Security Architect designs and governs secure-by-design architectures, aligning security strategy with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements across cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, and identity.
* Define and maintain enterprise security architecture principles, patterns, standards, and reference architectures
* Lead security design for new platforms, services, and major initiatives
* Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments
* Ensure alignment to Zero Trust, defence-in-depth, and least-privilege principles
* Define SOC strategy, operating model, service design, policies, SOPs, playbooks, and reporting
* Act as a trusted security advisor to architects and engineering teams
* Embed secure-by-design and DevSecOps practices across delivery
* Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation including AI/ML adoption

What Sets You Apart
* 10+ years in cybersecurity with architecture or senior engineering experience.
* Strong knowledge of cloud, IAM, application, data, and infrastructure security across modern enterprise environments.
* Experience applying security frameworks (e.g. NIST, SABSA, TOGAF).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Has defined and embedded organisation-wide security architecture standards across delivery teams and platforms, ensuring consistent adoption aligned to risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
* Has driven the early integration of security into solution design, resulting in a demonstrable reduction in late-stage security issues, architectural rework, and delivery risk.
* Experience providing trusted, pragmatic security advice to senior technical and business stakeholders, evidenced by positive stakeholder feedback and effective enablement of delivery outcomes.
* Has led and evidenced measurable improvements in organisational security maturity through architectural governance, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
