About The Role
Be part of one of Tasmania’s most significant energy infrastructure projects! Tasmania’s leading electricity transmission provider is delivering the North West Transmission Development Project and we’re looking for a Senior Civil Project Engineer to provide expert civil engineering guidance across the full lifecycle of this landmark project. As we enter the construction phase, you’ll be a key player in delivering safe, high-quality transmission infrastructure that meets project objectives and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Provide civil engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle
- Monitor and support on-site construction, ensuring works meet design and TasNetworks standards
- Troubleshoot technical issues and develop practical solutions
- Support internal teams and contractors with guidance, reporting, and training
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders
- Analyse project data, assess risks, and support informed decision‑making
About You
You are an experienced civil project engineer with strong technical capability, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to deliver complex projects safely and efficiently.
You Will Also Offer
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Extensive experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience on multi‑discipline, high‑profile projects
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences
- Experience with project management systems (cost, schedule, risk)
- Proven ability to manage conflict, complex issues, and competing priorities
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
