Job Description
MRI Training Position within our Northwest Tasmania team. This role offers a structured pathway to develop your MRI skills across our clinics, commencing in 2026.
As an MRI Trainee, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality imaging services while undergoing comprehensive training and development. You will gain hands‐on experience across sites including Burnie (NWRH) and Devonport, working alongside experienced MRI and Radiography professionals. You will be supported to build your technical capability while contributing to a patient‐focused, collaborative environment.
You will demonstrate a strong interest in MRI, a commitment to professional development, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A foundation in Radiography and a patient‐first mindset will be key to your success in this role. The role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary team and across different modalities as your skills develop.
Key Accountabilities
* Participating in a structured MRI training program with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
* Performing high-quality radiography procedures while progressing toward MRI competency.
* Delivering a high standard of patient care and maintaining a professional and compassionate approach at all times.
* Working collaboratively with radiologists, technologists and clinic teams to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
* Demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn new technologies, protocols and procedures.
* Contributing to a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.
* Maintaining equipment care, quality assurance and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
* Building strong relationships with patients, referrers and colleagues.
