The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motorcycle team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your new role
* Management of lodgements through to total loss for Motorcycle Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes
* Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
* Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
* Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
* Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements
* Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations
About You
* Previous experience in a similar role within Motor Claims is advantageous
* Strong customer service skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal
* Strong negotiation, organisational, and time management skills
* A quick learner who is comfortable with technology
* While not essential, a passion for motorcycles would be a plus
