Painter - SydneyFULL TIME POSITION
D.N.A Decorators are looking for a fully qualified Painter and Decorator to join our growing team.
Salary - excellent salary, negotiable in the range $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum will be offered to the successful applicant.
Client base - residential and commercial work across the Sydney metro area and further afield.
Duties will include:
* Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface prep, as well as mixing and matching colours.
* Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment, and other structures.
* Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, or applying other related materials - Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
* Installing, repairing, and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings.
* Correctly measure surfaces and install wallpapers and similar materials.
* Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights.
* Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.
To be successfully considered we expect to see:
* Trade qualified.
* Appropriate cards and industry certificates (EWP, WAH).
* Solid understanding of workplace health and safety rules and the ability to follow safe working principles.
* Ability to work as part of a busy team on bigger jobs as well as have the ability to complete and manage smaller jobs on their own.
* Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.
