Your Role
MDAS, one of Victoria's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Women's Family Violence Practitioner for our Swan Hill location.
This role provides case management support to vulnerable Aboriginal women and their children experiencing family violence. Responsibilities include undertaking risk assessments using Safe and Together Model and MARAM framework, developing and reviewing safety plans, and working in partnership with other services—Victoria Police, The Orange Door and the MDAS family violence team at Mildura.
This is a permanent full‐time position based at our Swan Hill office.

Key Selection Criteria
* Sound knowledge of family violence legislation, including the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and Common Risk.
* Well‐developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and high caseloads while maintaining service quality.
* Experience working within Aboriginal communities and the ability to lead, motivate, mentor, train and adapt to changing environments.
* Highly developed written and oral communication, mediation, conflict resolution, negotiation and relationship‐management skills, including representing MDAS in diverse external forums.
* Ability to take action to provide inclusive services for Aboriginal people and to engage in learning about other cultures to improve relationships and services.
Qualifications
Diploma of Community Services or currently working towards one.
Other Screening Requirements
* Valid driver's licence that permits driving in Australia.
* Victorian employee working with children check card.
* National Police Check.
