Job Overview
The role of the F-35 Simulation Technician involves performing technical maintenance, system administration, and support activities on various products, including information technology equipment, integrated systems, and software.
Located in Tindal, NT, this position requires troubleshooting, diagnosing, installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment to ensure training device availability for mission readiness.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the functionality of training devices through periodic and rectification maintenance.
* Troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
* Install and verify modifications and security vulnerability updates.
* Guide maintenance instructors, aircrew, and contractor instructor pilots with the operation of maintenance and pilot training devices.
* Maintain awareness of current issues involving the F-35 pilot and maintenance training devices.
* Support the Training Operations Support Manager and Lead Simulator Technician as required.
Requirements
Applicants must hold tertiary qualifications (Diploma or above) in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, or equivalent relevant experience preferably within the defence industry. An Australian Defence Security Clearance is also mandatory.
