The Opportunity
We're expanding our Perth Operations and strengthening our team at ACCIONA.
As we continue to grow our capabilities across current and future major infrastructure projects, we're seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. This leadership role will be instrumental in overseeing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient delivery of materials and services for some of Western Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing systems and processes to ensure that all goods and services are procured in a timely and compliant manner. You'll lead the subcontractor/supplier procurement in order to attain the procurement objectives and optimise the supply chain engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Procurement team to execute the wider Procurement strategy, in conjunction with the team, including strategic planning for key packages and long lead items
* Closely support key stakeholders across the business/projects, to administer the cost planning process, enhance risk management systems and promote opportunities for the business.
* Contribute to Risk and Opportunity systems and lead the development of registers for your area of control to manage and control risk and maximise opportunities.
* Professional management of Tender Probity, State Government Procurement Policy, Commercial Governance, auditing & reporting, and Business Risk Management.
* Demonstrate leadership and assist in creating and sustaining a culture to develop and retain a high-performing team.
Required Skills and Competencies
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualification strongly preferred but not essential.
* Construction, project or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to execute large procurement programs from concept through implementation, ideally within the construction industry.
* Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills.
* Strong knowledge in the full scope of procuring and packaging technical works /materials, from development of scope and RFQ documentation, managing the tendering process, commercial review and working with the contracts team to award of contract.
* Extensive exposure in Contracts negotiation, auditing, compliance and risk management.
* Demonstrated experience leading high-performing Contracts Administration and/or Procurement teams.
