Community Claims Specialist – Personal Injury - Sydney
We are expanding our regional claims specialist program by introducing a metro-based role designed to enhance our support for workers and connect them with vital community resources. As a passionate Community Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping workers overcome barriers and achieve positive claims outcomes by facilitating access to community supports and attending medical case conferences.
This position requires you to live within a 2-hour radius of Sydney to effectively support our clients in face‐to‐face interactions. Your proximity to the area will enable you to provide on‐site support when needed, with travel required to ensure we deliver exceptional service to our clients.
About the Role
* Facilitate access to local community programs and assist workers in accessing necessary support.
* Support workers in connecting with community resources to foster recovery and return‐to‐work journey.
* Attend medical case conferences and provide face‐to‐face support, ensuring workers' needs are integrated into the claims process.
* Build strong relationships with workers to understand unique situations and needs, fostering trust and effective communication.
* Network with claims teams to ensure seamless integration of community support into the claims process.
* Maintain professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers.
* Employ a person‐centered approach, focusing on understanding and addressing the individual needs of workers.
About You
* Extensive knowledge of local community programs, government‐funded initiatives, and local charity supports.
* Experience in social work or community engagement roles, with a strong understanding of how local current affairs and activities impact employers and their workforce.
* Allied Health or Social Work qualifications are highly regarded.
* High‐level sensitivity and interpersonal skills for effective relationship building.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time‐management skills.
* Comfortable working independently to achieve goals and desired outcomes.
* Technology savvy and interested in leveraging emerging technologies.
* Able to drive and have access to a reliable vehicle to travel to sites in the Sydney area.
