Engineering Apprentice Opportunity

The apprenticeship programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a fast-paced engineering environment. You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, develop your problem-solving skills, and learn from experienced technicians and engineers.
About the Role
This is a fixed-term contract of 36-48 months, beginning September 2026. The first 12 months will be spent in full-time residential training at one of our state-of-the-art training centres. After this, you will continue your learning through online and remote study.
Responsibilities
* Perform proactive and preventive maintenance on automated equipment.
* Diagnose and repair faults in a live distribution warehouse setting.
* Utilise advanced tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
* Make modifications and upgrades to existing machinery.
* Maintain high health and safety standards.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
* UK national or EU national with settled status, or non-UK national with the right to work and reside in England for the entire duration of the programme.
* Resident of the UK for the entire programme.
* No current registration to study on a UK government-funded course that ends August 2026 or later.
* Age 18 or older by September 2026.
* Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades 9-4 / A-C (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a science/technology subject.
* No qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
* Ability to work in a shift pattern covering days, nights, weekends.
