**About the role**
The **Production Manager** role is a **Full-Time **position, based at** Coopers Plains, QLD**. Reporting to **Operations Manager** **you will provide people and process leadership to the Gyprock Coopers Plains Production teams, ensuring the team's health & safety, the environment, and CSR's code of conduct are never compromised.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage the production team (24/hr x 5 days a week operation).
- Ensure shareholder value is achieved by delivering all CSR's safety, sustainability, customer service, product quality and plant performance targets for the Coopers Plains production activities.
- Ensure adherence with all Site Safety requirements, including PSIs, incident reporting / investigations and completing all corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and Production employees as well as other parts of the areas including Process improvement and Engineers.
- Demonstrate ownership on process and provide improvement strategies.
- Have excellent people management and problem-solving skills as technical support will be required.
**What you bring to the role**
- Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry.
- A strong commitment to safety awareness
- Leadership & motivational experience & knowledge (people person)
- Knowledge & Production experience in a manufacturing workplace
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement program
- Problem solving ability with attention to detail.
