Your opportunity

Our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team has an opportunity for a Program Manager–Safety Improvement Program to lead the implementation of the Health Safety Wellbeing Improvement Program within the O&M team on a fixed term contract to December 2027.

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Improvement Program (HSWIP) is an enterprise-wide formal, structured program of works aimed at delivering projects targeted at improving Urban Utilities compliance to legislative and industry standards.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the management, implementation and execution of projects within O&M included in the scope of the Safety Improvement Program, while playing a key leadership role in guiding and coordinating project and change managers delivering these initiatives, including but not limited to:

* Control of Work (Permit to Work)
* Fatality Risk Management
* Chain of Responsibility
* Electrical Safety

About you

* Team management and delivery of a works portfolio, within a large complex organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to lead commercial agreements with Delivery Partners (from high value/complexity to basic supplier contracts) to deliver business outcomes
* Demonstrated superior stakeholder management and collaboration on business transformation activities, with strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Experience delivering safety transformation projects within a large complex organisation.

Management Experience

* Experienced in leading, mentoring, and guiding teams delegating tasks, reviewing work quality, and helping others develop in their roles.
* Strong motivation to be a supportive leader who inspires and develops teams
* Min 5 years' experience in a leadership role

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences:

* Qualifications in Engineering, Safety Management, or Program/Project Management
* Post graduate qualifications in a relevant field highly regarded
* Current Driver's Licence
