About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist to join our dedicated and team-oriented medical team.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred obstetric and gynaecology services across South West Healthcare. This includes the timely diagnosis and management of gynaecologic and maternal health concerns, as well as the detection and monitoring of foetal conditions. You will work closely with women to support informed decision‑making and develop ongoing antenatal care plans, ensuring those at risk of pregnancy complications receive evidence‑based, best‑practice care in line with established guidelines.
You’ll collaborate with a team of experienced Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to provide comprehensive, safe, and compassionate care to women and families across our region.

What you bring
FRANZCOG or an equivalent qualification enabling eligibility for specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in Australia
Broad experience across all areas of Obstetrics to support confident clinical practice in a regional setting
Current registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia
Commitment to quality improvement activities relating to obstetric practice
Strong communication, conflict management and team‑building skills
Experience in, and a positive attitude toward, supporting the training and development needs of junior medical staff
