Position Title: AFL Sports Trainer (PAID)
Position Type: Casual
Location: Whittlesea Football Netball Club – NFNL
About the Role:
Whittlesea Football Netball Club is seeking 2-3 enthusiastic and reliable Sports Trainers to join our team for the 2026 season.
You'll work closely with our Senior, Reserves, 19.5s and Women's teams, alongside a supportive group of fellow trainers. This role offers valuable hands‐on experience—perfect for students or graduates looking to start or grow their career in sports.
Previous experience is welcome but not essential!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and injury management to players during games and training sessions, including taping and soft tissue massage techniques.
Assist with pre‐game preparation and post‐game recovery.
Work collaboratively with coaches, team managers, and other trainers to promote a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
Level 1 Sports Trainer Accreditation (Sports Medicine Australia or equivalent).
Provide First Aid + CPR (current within the last 12 months).
Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain, if required).
Availability for training sessions + game day (Tuesday and Thursday night training, Saturday/Sunday game days).
