Overview
We have an exciting locum prospect for a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist within the Histology department in Salisbury.
This role offers a pay rate of £26 per hour, with the option of an ongoing contract.
You will enjoy the flexibility of full-time employment while contributing to vital laboratory operations.
This position aims to cover operational lab work and free up a member of staff to work on the LIMS and EPR project for up to 12 months.

What you will do
Perform a range of histological tasks including tissue preparation, embedding, sectioning, and staining
Verify and report results in alignment with laboratory protocols and quality standards
Assist in maintaining the laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operations
Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the continuity of lab services and the support of project work like LIMS and EPR
Maintain an organised workspace and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
To be considered for this thrilling opportunity, applicants must have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an equivalent.
Post-qualifying experience in the field of biomedical science is also required.
