The role of an Assistant Coordinator is a vital part in the day-to-day running of our OSHC service. This position provides staff with opportunities to grow and advance their careers within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop quality programs that cater to the needs of children, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all participants.
* Manage the daily operations of programs, including effective time management and prioritization.
* Support the Coordinator with staff management, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
* Maintain compliance with relevant policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Undertake administrative tasks, including documentation and record-keeping, to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
* Foster positive relationships with families and the school community, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Requirements
* Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching, such as a Diploma in Children Services.
* Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for delivering high-quality childcare services.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate administration and correct documentation in an OSHC setting.
* Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
* Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
* NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
