Huma Carpentry Pty Ltd is a construction and carpentry business based in Quakers Hill, NSW, specialising in commercial and residential carpentry, framing, fit‐outs, finishing works, and general building support services. The business delivers carpentry solutions across mainly commercial but residential projects on request, focusing on workmanship quality, structural accuracy, and compliance with construction and safety standards.
The Role
The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out commercial and residential carpentry works including framing, installation, finishing, and structural construction activities in accordance with project specifications and building requirements.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
* Install fixtures, windows, cabinetry and trims to enhance interior aesthetics and functionality
* Fit door locksets, deadbolts and hardware according to manufacturer instructions and site requirements
* Perform framing, finish work and restoration carpentry tasks across commercial and residential construction projects
* Measure, shape and cut materials to specified dimensions using hand tools, machines and power saws
* Read and interpret plans, measurements and site instructions for carpentry work
* Construct and install structural frameworks, partitions and floors in accordance with project specifications
* Assemble and install timber structures, fittings and prefabricated building materials on commercial and residential sites
* Operate and maintain carpentry tools, woodworking machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and workplace safety across all carpentry activities
The Requirements
* Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Carpenter within commercial and residential construction environments
* At least 3 years' experience performing framing, finishing, and general carpentry installation works on commercial and residential projects
* At least 3 year's carpentry experience with LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) structural components
* At least 3 year's carpentry experience installing and detailing HCS (Hybrid Cladding Systems), and VCL (Vapour Control Layer) with moisture management and weatherproofing specifications.
* At least 3 years' experience coordinating carpentry interfaces with engineered substrates including GLT beams, PFC, and commercial‐grade acoustic and fire‐rated timber systems
* At least 3 years' experience installing doors, windows, cabinetry, trims, and structural timber components
* Strong knowledge of commercial and residential construction methods, carpentry techniques, and building materials
* Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately to project specifications
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and construction compliance standards
* Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with other trades and site personnel
* Good communication and problem‐solving skills within construction site environments
* High attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
* Valid Driver's Licence
