The Role
This is a great opportunity in Lorne for a quality and talented Pastry Chef to join the team on a full‐time basis. Key qualifications and attributes are:
* 2+ years relevant experience in the hospitality industry
* Knowledge of preparing pastry products including doughs, pastry fillings, cakes, buns, biscuits, and bread
* Understanding of baking, shaping and decorating pastry and bread products
* Experience working in a quality restaurant, patisserie, café or hotel
* Experience operating large machines such as mixers, ovens, and dough‐forming machines
* Knowledge of HACCP, hygiene practices and following WH&S
* Ability to follow a recipe and accurately weigh ingredients
* Good communication skills, positive attitude and teamwork
