The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sampler to join our Mining Drill & Blast team at our Whyalla, SA operations. This is a long‐term project for SRG Global, the drilling and blasting contractor onsite since[date missing]. The position is full‐time residential with client‐supplied transport daily from Whyalla. The roster is 7:7 (days) for day shift & night shift. The Sampler plays a critical role in providing reliable data that informs decision‐making processes, supports quality control measures, and contributes to the overall operational efficiency and success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and collect samples from the worksite.
* Count, measure, weigh and label samples as needed.
* Assist with site quality assurance requirements.
* Assist servicing drills with the water trailer.
* Perform blast guard duties.
* Assist and participate with Shot Crew duties.
* Carry out general labouring duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications
* C Class Driver's Licence (Manual).
* Ability to perform labouring duties.
* Good communication and organisational skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
* A positive attitude towards safety, training & the environment.
* Pass a pre‐employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
Desirables
* Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence.
* Shot Crew experience.
