Geoex Services is a South West based civil contracting company specialising in underground service installation, directional drilling and cable laying.
Full-time positions based in the South West:
Horizontal Directional Drillers and Trackers
Cable Layers
Machine Operators/General Labourers
HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS & HDD OFFSIDERS
HDD operating experience with Vermeer D23x30 and Vermeer D20x22S3 drills and tracking with Digitrak Falcon 5 systems.
Ability to set up the drill, plan bore paths, mix drill mud for soil conditions
Ability to install electrical infrastructure to Western Power standards
Operate a vacuum truck
Read and decipher BYD and locate plans to manually pothole, locate and expose all services
Complete construction paperwork such as JRA's, dig permits and drill logs
CABLE LAYERS / INSTALL CREW -Cable installation crews needed to lay cable to final positions for pillars,streetlights and primary equipment sites using a combination of manual and mechanical excavation techniques.
MACHINE OPERATORS/ GENERAL LABOURERS - Assisting the Cable installation and Drill crews with excavations, shovelling/raking and general site clean-up, manual potholing for service locating and mechanical backfilling of holes and trenches, reinstatement, fault finding and repair of reticulation systems, lawn/garden repairs and returfing, removal and installation of concrete footpaths, crossovers and hot and cold bitumen/asphalt patch repairs.
Must Have's
Truck Licence - HR to HC
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
Construction blue/white card
Advantageous
Excavator and Skid Steer tickets, Quick Cut Saw and other relevant plant tickets
Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services
Traffic Management BWTM/TC
Western Power specific inductions and qualifications
