Are you an experienced project leader with a passion for delivering impactful infrastructure projects? Glenorchy City Council is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, governance, and delivery of complex capital works that support our growing community.
About The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and capital works projects from concept through to completion. Projects may include streetscape improvements, bridges, boardwalks, lighting, and other vital community infrastructure.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards—while aligning with Council's strategic objectives, statutory requirements, and community expectations.
What You'll Bring To The Role
* Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline or extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure or capital works projects end-to-end.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in community-facing environments.
* Proven experience in contract management, procurement, and negotiation.
* Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presenting to senior stakeholders.
* Strong financial management capability, including budget development and reporting.
* A proactive approach to risk management, safety, and quality assurance.
You will also hold (or be able to obtain) a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP). A current driver's licence is desirable.
Position Details
* Full‐Time, 76 hour - 9 day fortnight.
* Annual salary: $130,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.
