Facilities Manager - Must Be Experienced

We are seeking a full‐time Facilities Manager to lead our resident services team and ensure seamless operations across all properties. The role involves overseeing daily operations, guaranteeing exceptional resident experiences, and leading a diverse team of hospitality professionals. It is essential for maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and service while enhancing the overall value of our managed properties.
About the role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Effective management of all contractors on site, ensuring performance and high standards of work.
* Maintenance of all building procedures.
* Guidance and advice on annual expenditure and budgeting.
* Preparation and management of the maintenance and repair budget.
* Creation and presentation of monthly reports.
* Maintenance of up‐to‐date documentation and compliance.
* Overview of daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of all facilities.
* Service delivery management and vendor negotiation.
* Planning and coordination with external vendors, subcontractors, and service providers for reception, maintenance, cleaning, and security services.
* Lead and manage facility‐related issues, from renovations to new installations, ensuring timely completion within budget.
* Initiation of preventive maintenance tasks.
* Identification of opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
* Management of systems capturing preventive and reactive work orders for property maintenance.
* Maintenance planning and programming for prescribed maintenance, services, and activities.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
* Knowledge of the BUGTA Act and IRDA Act is favourable.
* Minimum of 3 years full‐time experience in a similar setting.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Autonomous yet a team player, supportive of fellow team members.
* Excellent time‐management and negotiation skills.
* In‐depth knowledge of property and facility management services, relevant laws, and Australian best practices.
