About The Role:
This Department is looking for an APS6 Project Officer to support national clinical terminology services, contribute to multiple projects, and coordinate engagement and education initiatives across diverse stakeholders.
Level/Classification: APS6
Contract Duration: June 30, x 12 Months extension
Location: Canberra, ACT
Requirements:
* Ability and willingness to obtain Baseline security clearance
* Ability and willingness to obtain national police check

Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate engagement, outreach, and education activities to support program objectives
* Support operational requirements including customer enquiries and standard procedures
* Assist with project planning, schedules, tracking progress, and risk management
* Contribute to procurement, contract, and finance processes
* Prepare ministerial briefs, agendas, minutes, reports, and other documentation
* Support business-as-usual operations alongside clinical terminologists and contract managers
* Represent the program to internal and external stakeholders, supporting change initiatives
Experience & Skills Required:
* Demonstrated project management experience and ability to resolve complex issues
* Highly organised with experience in planning education activities and events
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
* Skilled in developing project schedules and tracking deliverables to minimise risk
* Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
* Experience with procurement, contract management, and financial processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of or interest in digital health standards is highly desirable
