The Opportunity
This role will see you working on some of the most technically challenging and high‐value repair projects in the market. From large residential losses through to complex commercial reinstatement works, you'll be responsible for developing detailed cost plans and ensuring projects are accurately scoped from the outset. You'll work closely with operational teams, project stakeholders and clients, providing commercial insight and technical expertise throughout the estimating process. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction estimator looking to take ownership of significant projects within a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed estimates and cost plans for major repair and reinstatement projects.
* Analyse scopes, drawings, reports and project documentation.
* Attend site inspections and assess project requirements.
* Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
* Develop accurate budgets and pricing strategies.
* Identify project risks, opportunities and cost‐saving measures.
* Collaborate with Project Managers and delivery teams throughout project lifecycles.
* Manage estimate revisions, variations and cost updates.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and insurers.
About You
You will bring a strong construction estimating background and enjoy working on technically complex projects that require attention to detail and commercial acumen.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in a Construction Estimator role.
* Experience pricing medium to large‐scale building projects.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
* Ability to interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation.
* Experience engaging with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Highly Regarded
* Experience within insurance repairs, restoration or major loss projects.
* Commercial construction estimating experience.
* Knowledge of cost planning and project budgeting.
* Exposure to high‐value residential or commercial building works.
